Case study #2
The Victim falsely believes that the other parent is obsessed with them. The Victim will use misleading language to describe the other parent. The Victim may claim to be “scared” of the other parent when in reality, they are “uncomfortable” being around their former spouse. The Victim will claim the other parent is “controlling” for attempting to co-parent the child or raising concerns with the Victim’s unilateral decision making. The Victim may accuse the other parent of stalking, property damage and vandalism. The Victim will ignore evidence that demonstrates the other parent has legitimate reasons to be near the Victim’s location, such as living within the same neighbourhood, or that other properties in the area had also been vandalized. The Victim will spin each situation to portray the other parent as out to get them.
